I WAS ALWAYS ACTIVELY IN PURSUIT of mentors and father figures.

The ones who've influenced me the most are: Roscoe Lee Brown, Martin Sheen, and Sidney Poitier, who has become a mentor.

There is also Francis Coppola, the great Lloyd Richards, and August Wilson, all because of the wealth of their experience.

All of these people gave me a lot of love and a lot of encouragement. It is through these relationships that I've achieved clarity about so many important things in my life and my work.
